The SCRIP Program is a mandatory program for families with children in grades K-8, which offers supplementary income to offset operational expenses.
The program offers two options for families to choose from in order to meet their obligation:
Purchase Gift Cards Pay a “Buy-Out” Fee Purchases made June 1-May 31 are credited toward the current school year.
(Families with a graduate must meet obligation by April 30 of the current school year.)
Opt to pay a flat fee and you do not have to purchase any gift cards. Your Buy-Out fee fulfills your obligation. What is the Mandatory Scrip Obligation?
Scrip obligations are based on SCRIP REBATE EARNINGS, not Scrip purchase amounts.

Every time you purchase a gift card, the retailer you are supporting with your purchase pays ICS a percentage of your purchase – a rebate. Each retailer offers a different rebate percentage.
What you buy is more important than how much you are spending. Below are some examples of the rebate you can earn by purchasing various products:

It depends very much on what you are purchasing. Here are some very basic examples:

A typical weekly order might look something like this:ShopRite (ICS) 5% 2 x $100 = $200 ($10.00 rebate) Walmart 2.5% 1 x $100 = $100 ($2.50 rebate) Amazon 1.7% 2 x $25 = $50 ($0.85 rebate) Frank's Restaurant 10% 1 x $50 = $50 ($5.00 rebate) Order Total = $400.00 ($18.35 rebate) What if I earn MORE than my minimum obligation?
All families who exceed their rebate obligation will earn 50% of the rebate earnings in excess of the obligation as a tuition credit for the following school year.
Graduating families who meet their rebate obligation will be issued a check for 50% of the rebate earnings in excess of the obligation.

What if I do not fulfill my obligation by May 31st?Unfulfilled SCRIP rebates will be billed at a rate of 185% of the unfulfilled rebate.
If you do not earn the minimum rebate required for your family, the earnings you have accrued to date will be subtracted from your minimum obligation and the balance will be billed through FACTS.
Scrip obligations must be fulfilled by May 31st of each school year.
8th Grade family obligations must be fulfilled by April 30th of each school year.

Payments for unfilled SCRIP Rebates, or for Buy-out amounts, not received by the assigned due date will be assessed a 10% late fee. Outstanding payments not received within 45 days will be forwarded to a collection agency and may preclude re-admission for the next school year.
Is the Mandatory SCRIP Commitment Pro-Rated if Our Child is Enrolled After the Start of the School Year?
Yes, the pro-ration is as follows:
